thks all... BFing has been very tough. Juz discharged today. Engorement since 2nd day. BB not latching well cause he's very impatient. Therefore i was relying on electric pump in hosp... Now, at home, engorement is gone.. latching is normal..
Gal, engorgement at the start is cos your body is gg thru full scale milk production since it still dunno how much milk bb needs. but even if no more engorgement dun mean you no milk. it means your body slowly estimate how much milk bb needs & produce accordingly. if you want to have more milkto counter growth spurt, keep up with latching on demand. apart from this, express b4/during/after feeds to signal to your body to produce more milk for bb, ya! brain = chef, breasts = waiter, bb = customer. if the customer dun tell the waiter what he wants, the waiter wont know what to cook or the customer. understand this concept? :)
btw, if you encounter any problems & needs hands-on help, feel free to let me know. i'll be v happy to drop by to see what i can do. even if outta the way, i do have frenz islandwide with many years of bf-ing exp who are willing to share. :)
