Ryan's 7th Birthday

We went to Adventure CoveWater park on 8th March 2015.  As it was the only day we were all available.  Ryan had requested for it since forever!
After which we dined at Hardrock Cafe at RWS.
MIL was very nice.  She hates western food yet she was willing to just sit around watching us have early dinner to satisfy Ryan.

I bought a bubble gun from toysrus,  brought batteries and 1 thing I miscalculated..........
Screwdriver!! For the battery slot! @$&*

End up didn't play. Lol

10th March 2015
Hub and I applied leave to surprise Ryan on a special day out.  We went to school to pick him up, brought him to JEMS mall for Sushi Tei and movie - Ah Boys To Men 3.
Initially he didn't want to watch movie.  He ain't a movie person.  We managed to persuade him to come along.  (Though we already watched the movie during our couple date)  We wanted him to watch since he watched both 1 & 2.
We bribed him with popcorn and chips.  Luckily he enjoyed the movie very much.  Though he kept asking when is it over?  He was quite sleepy.

We went home after movie and rushed through to cut his birthday cake as my parents waited for us since 6pm as arranged previously.  We reached home at 645pm.

Taking photos halfway I realised my sd card wasn't in the camera!! @$&*!

Cake was already cut and distributed.  I did some damage control and had 1 imperfect shot.

Bad ending to a perfect birthday planning.. luckily we enjoyed most of it.  Just wasted perfect photos due to my negligence..  I should have checked.

5th Feb 2015

Got a complaint call from teacher...

After spelling test was over, the class was supposed to hand up the spelling book.  Teacher saw Ryan taking comm file from under the table - spelling list was on front cover.

After morning saga of being caught "stealing", he's being caught for "cheating".  I so wanna bang my head against the wall :( :(

Teacher tested him verbally on the 2 missing words on the book.  He got them correct.  He explained that he didn't hear properly what #2 & #3 words are.  So he just wanted to check what words were missing.
I trust Ryan not to cheat in class.  He has no reason to, cause the words were simply too simple for him to cheat.  But actions speak louder than words.  Because of what he did, displayed cheating action.  Therefore he will get his disciplinary action when I'm home from work tonight.

So far, doing well in school.  Occasional hiccups - misplaced glasses, forgot wallet, got into trouble with form teacher.

5th Feb 2015
Ryan got into trouble today again.  His form teacher Mrs Cherlyn Pang called husb.  A girl wanted to buy packet milk for a needy schoolmate.  Ryan being helpful, helped her open her wallet and took money out.  This scene was caught by the teacher and it is a serious offence.
Husb said that it's considered stealing or snatching.  The girl should have opened her own wallet and paid for the milk.  Ryan wasn't supposed to be involved in any of this situation as it doesn't concern him.
Therefore, tonight will be disciplining night...

4th milk tooth dropped 21.06.2014

Super struggle fighting to remove Ryan's 4th baby tooth..
The tooth already left dangling with 1 tiny root holding on. Yet Ryan was insisting it's still OK.
I closed both of us in the bedroom and went about a shouting match just to get the tooth out.
I plucked it out with him barely feeling it! And I guess he was wondering so fast?!
Sigh... He's such a wimp!

13th April 2014

Ryan's bottom right tooth dropped today.  It's the 3rd baby tooth that dropped since the dropping of his first baby tooth on 2nd day of CNY 2014.
His first baby tooth was plucked by my cousin - Angela Goh during house visiting.
I was proud that he didn't whine when 1st 2 teeth dropped. *2nd tooth dropped in school in the month of February 2014*

But for the 3rd tooth, he was such a baby! Haha...
Nevertheless, I'm glad I had a chance to pluck his baby tooth out.  I'm gonna keep all the baby teeth as long as I receive them from him.

I hope he will learn to care more for his teeth forward going.

2008 Birth Story

On 08/03/08, during gynae appt, i was checked for dilation... 1cm only. But because i'm losing weight, gynae worries for me n baby.

Therefore decision to insert dilation pill was made. Chris was sure i will dilate after 2 pills.

7pm - Admitted to gleneagles hospital maternity ward bed 523

8pm - Inserted first pill, put on CTG to monitor bb's heartbeat and my contractions consistency.

9pm - Nurse came to off CTG machine. Noticed significant contractions though irregular. Me? No feeling at all...

11pm - Chris came to see me. Told me, no pain = no baby yet... So he ordered another insertion at 3.30am to bring on more contractions.

3.30am - Was awaken to insert 2nd dilation pill. Put on CTG for 2hrs this time cause baby was sleeping most of the time. So baby sleeping = not enough movements.

6am - Was put on CTG again as Chris is coming to see me soon. Lots regular contractions. Happening every 10mins... I thought, finally...

7am - Chris came, happy to see regular and strong contractions. Checked for dilation. Result? Still 1cm... SUPER DISAPPOINTED MAMA... Chris said, to insert the 3rd pill. If after that still no dilation then have to c-sec. I'm starting to blame myself... Baby has been cooperating with me... Why isn't my cervix dilating? Why is my cervix so darn stubborn?

I was persuaded to go for epidural... Nah... I want to feel everything my baby is giving me... Afterall, I waited a good long 10mths for this right?

Now, 12noon... While waiting for dilation to happen, i decided to write all my feelings down... Been squatting lots, hoping for a miracle to happen to me. I really want to try natural birth. Why am I deprived of the chance? I can endure all sorts of pain in order to be able to get the feel of motherhood...

Baby's enjoying himself in me. That's a relief for me. I was afraid that all the pills insertion may put extra stress on him. Seems that he's capable of protecting himself.

Enough for now... I'll continue part 2 after my second cervix check... Please pray that a miracle will happen...

After 3pill insertion, Chris came to check on me ard 11pm. Still 1cm dilated... He say he'll give me till 7am in the morning to decide if i wanna c-sec. So i had to eat my breakfast @ 5am to allow 6hours empty stomach for operation.

After hearing this, i cried whole night... Never expected myself to be c-sec...

5.30am on 10th March - Ate breakfast. On CTG.

7am on 10th March - Chris came n check my cervix again. 1cm dilated.. He told me to prepare for c-sec @ noon time. I cried again.. Hb see me so sad, he tried consoling me... But it was fruitless as i was already breaking down... While showering to prepare for c-sec, i also cried... I realised tat the waiting time for c-sec to arrive is a killer...

After being in labour pain constantly for 36hrs since Sat 8pm - Mon 7am, i still have to wait for 4hrs before i can see my son...

12noon - Sent to OT. Was put on BP machine. Anaethestist came... Wanted to fix my drip on left hand.. Poked me, digged, cannot find blood flowing out.. Removed needle n poked my right hand instead...

Since I had stemcord, i needed blood for testing. Therefore blood was squeezed out of my right hand for blood testing. After few squeezes, he told me, not enough blood...

So my left elbow was poked to draw blood directly into syringe.

12.15 - Epidural was administered. Stupid nurse kept asking not to move. I was so fed-up, i scream at her to shut up... Anesthetist got a shock. Told i scolding him... Haha

Immediately epidural effect came in.

12.20 - Chris came... Hb was then allowed into OT. Began slurring due to epidural overdose...

Was given oxygen as I couldn't breath at all! Overdosed!!

12.30 - C-sec started... Totally no pain cause overdosed already. Not even pressure... Ryan was too big, therefore Chris asked anesthetist to help push from my tummy top.

Hb was shivering all the way... Too bloody for him... I'm so proud of him for being there for me.

12.41 - Pop comes Ryan... While nurse was tube sucking his mouth, Ryan seems unhappy. And decided to grab the tube... So amusing... Remembered vaguely the moment Ryan popped, Chris asked HB to start shooting... HB so stunned, his hands were shaking all e way manz... :)

l was so groggy all e time... Like under GA... Therefore couldn't carry Ryan in OT, though he was offered to me. So i only touched him... HB dare not carry also...

Cleaning started... I was gone by that time. HB was asked to leave.. I finally gave in to the epi effect n fell aslp. Woke up in maternity Ward.
