Ryan Pang's Look-alike Meter @ 7.5months

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Make a family tree online - Family pictures

Cousin Alvin Wong's Wedding

My cousin held his wedding on 2 separate days...
Sunday morning - tea ceremony @ hillside condo
Sunday noon - solemnization @ Shangrila Hotel
Monday night - chinese dinner @ Shangrila Hotel

As my cousin is a band goer, he serenaded his bride with 2 songs during the dinner.
His bride - Charmayne Yap, sang their marching in song...

So romantic! After cake-cutting ceremony, they proceeded to the dance floor to have a go. Too bad most guests were too keen on the food to notice their short dance stunt.

Sunday was very enjoyable. Cause Ryan was very cooperative. But as Monday's dinner was held at night, Ryan missed his bedtime, he became so cranky! End up it took me 1 over hour to pacify him to sleep... Made me so sian and upset too.

Ryan's first time on my back

Testing Ryan's response to sitting on my back instead of the front.
See how much he's complaining...

Ryan's New Friend

My mom was trying clothes in the fitting room when Ryan found a new friend in the mirror. Himself! Haha.. He didn't know it was him. See how he enjoys chatting with his "new friend"

Day Out With WaiPo

We went Robinsons & JL sale... Didn't buy anything though. So mummy decided to be funny wif the camera...

Day Out With Maternal Grandparents

Waipo & Waigong took leave today... We went Mount Faber for a breeze, Ikea for some ME shopping, habourfront coffeeshop for lunch with Jiu-Jiu...
After that, we went home for a short rest while Waigong went back to his home for his short nap.. haha
I vomited some milk out again! Hmm, Waipo told Mummy about the news about the 26-yr old lady who died 1mth after knocking her head against the glass door.
Mummy became paranoid.. Therefore, Mummy & Waipo brought me to the nearby clementi polyclinic to consult the doctor.

Conclusion was: I probably have some reflux problem... Referred me to KKH for review.
Daddy feels that 3rd december 08 is way too far. So we're still searching for an alternative date...

Some Pictures of Ryan - 21st Oct 2008

Some pictures taken since Ryan decided to pull himself to stand... So glad he's gone through yet another milestone.
Somehow, I love for him to start walking but I am afraid of him growing up so fast.

10.21.2008 Pulling to Stand II.MPG

Ryan finally succeeded in pulling himself up to stand.. He also tried the 1hand support stunt.. Perhaps that' the reason why he refuses to sit independently. Becoz he prefers to stand rather than sit..
A nice birthday gift for his daddy...

10.21.2008 Pulling to Stand I.MPG

Testing... Ryan is trying to use his limbs to pull himself up to stand.
Not quite successful though.

2nd try was successful.

Weekend Out With Mummy & Daddy & Ryan

We went pressie shopping for Daddy... Since tuesday is his birthday..
Daddy was in a super good mood today... He allowed Mummy to take his pictures with Ryan though Daddy super hates photo-taking... Keke
Ryan loves to stand now.. Perhaps we can start to train him to walk with child harness... Since he only needs support around the body as he's rather wobbly now.

Yelling Ryan.3GP

This is what I am dealing with on a daily basis...
This particular scene was taken while Ryan is in a playpen while I change my clothes.
I wonder when I can let Ryan sleep individually in his own bed. Hmm...

September 2008

Some pictures being forgotten in the camera because there r too many devices...

10.07.2008 New Bathtub.3GP

I bought this safety 1st bathtub for Ryan. Inflatable type... so he can sit there to play w/o water or use it during bathtime.
Toysrus selling it @ $15 during their bazaar sale. I bought it at united square toysrus. :)
He enjoys it alot... holding the edges while sitting.

10.09.2008 Trying to Stand.3GP

Ryan is using his playpen to stand now.. He can tahan abt 5-10secs of standing with me holding his waist as support... He's supporting his whole weight by himself on his legs.
But he hates sitting down. Haha :)

Ryan is 7 months! Yippee...

Ryan's milestones

He's trying to stand now... But unfortunately, he's lost interest in sitting solitary. Hehe...
He's doing the boo-boo face with super lots bubbles and drools.
He's about to sprout teeth soon. I can see 2 white spots just below the gums.
He can promptly vocalise neh-neh & ma-ma when he's super hungry and cranky.
He managed to voice out alittle blur single syllabus words like pa, ma, neh, mum, kee (play saliva)...
He show lesser interest in sitting the exersacucer as it's too short for him. He prefers to stand in the playpen.
He enjoys being carried as he likes to step on our tummies to get higher. *As illustrated in some pictures* Hehe

Daddy bought a new sony camera - W170 for Mummy. It has smile shutter feature. It's so to capture Ryan's unpredicted smiles... Haiz...
Too bad, Ryan's smiles are too short for the shutter to be activated.
More practice is needed..

Just to share...

Just to share a photo of my friend's kiddo... Cause i find him so cute...
Looks like those clay figures like precious moments.. in the praying position... very adorable. Dunno when I can take such cute pictures of Ryan... hehe

October 2008 Pictures

Some updates on Ryan...
Bought a new inflatable bath tub for Ryan today @ united square toysrus sale... So crowded... Only managed to grab this. Lots toys, but mostly like flea market quality... So i decided to give up the digging.
Waipo bought a new song book for Ryan... He loves it alot, whether as a teether or as an entertainment, it doesn't matter to him.
I brought Ryan to daddy's office yesterday since I was around suntec city in the evening. Uncle Mark saw him at the lobby, he couldn't resist carrying Ryan.
So I thought i'll take a picture as a memento.
Some similar pictures were taken today to try to capture Ryan's smile... Don't know why he smiles at everyone he sees except the camera... Haiz, how to join contest like that? No nice photo to send it...

Some Private Thoughts - Repentance

Just having some thoughts going through my pathetic little brain early this morning...

How many times do my poor son have to suffer falls before I see the urgency in protecting him? Buying bedrails, using his playpen as a protective environment?
3 times... To be exact.  Tomorrow, I'll be getting bedrails for Ryan.  I have cleared out his playpen of rubbish and started using his playpen to secure him while I leave him out of my sight for moments..

Will excessive falls destroy an intelligent brain?  Ryan fails to respond to his name as quickly as usual after his third fall.  I am very worried and at the same time I blame myself, over and over again for being so complacent.
How could I remain asleep when Ryan's awake?  I have to stop all TV and forums and start behaving like a real mom.
Ryan started smiling funny after the fall.  Daddy says I worry too much. No bumps are seen visibly.  Should I bring Ryan for an x-ray?  Does the risk outweigh the benefits?

What should I do?  Observe Ryan?  He is exceptionally quiet this morning.  I really hope I do not destroy his life.  After each fall, I always promise Ryan to be more vigilant and not let the accident happen again.  But time after time I fail to keep my promise.

Though there is no visible damage done, no vomiting, no visible bumps, I worry about internal damage that I cannot see.  Could I have damaged his brain?  Will I have the same active and smart baby?  I feel so bad and miserable at this moment.  I feel that I do not deserve to have Ryan.  I feel sad that he has an irresponsible mom like me.  On one hand, I can be so protective over him.  Yet, I am so nonchalant about his falls.  I really love Ryan.  And I hope I'll start showering some real, practical love to him.  Instead of just plain talk.

I should start Ryan's learning process...  Hoping to balance off any damage that may have occurred during the falls.  Afterall, he's the only hope I've got.
Yes Ryan, Mummy is repentant.  This time around, I'll not promise you anything.  I'll use my actions to prove that I'll change for the better.  Many years down the road, I hope to let you see this letter and you can judge if I had been a good mom all these years.
