I'm so happy today... This evening, I heard very clearly Ryan calling Papa & Mama & Mum-Mum (Food).  Recently he's rejecting porridge. He loves his milk too much to eat.. LoL
But I realised that he also loves biscuits.  So when he wants his biscuits, he'll say: "Mama, mum-mum"
I just remembered that at this age, babies will prefer finger food to spoon-feeding. So, Ryan is into self finger-feeding stage now.

Though he can't differentiate between who is who, I guess ultimately he's reaching another milestone.
I was waiting patiently for him to call us. Hehe

Ryan's 9th months milestones

How time flies... I remember when Ryan was just a newborn baby.


Now he's past his 9th month and fast approaching to become a big baby - toddler...  While I enjoy his corresponding chats, I do miss his gugus & his gagas when he was just a wobbling little fellow.

He's past the wobbling stage and into the wriggly stage where he wriggles out of your arm whenever he's not comfortable or when he simply wants to get free.

Ryan has finally cut his two bottom teeth on 6th dec 2008! Yay!!  But, he likes to bite now.  Not so much of itchy teething symptoms, more of trying to be notti while nursing.

Mummy brought me to Carrefour @ Suntec to meet up with NaiNai for some xmas shopping. Cause mummy have to attend a seminar @ The Rock Auditorium last wednesday afternoon.

Mummy also brought me to Takashimaya to meet WaiPo because waipo was clearing her annual leave last friday.

I'm not too photogenic, whenever mummy whip out the camera, my smiles & laughter will suddenly disappear. But I'll smile & laugh if you play with me. :)

Mummy! I wanna eat!!

My daily meals are mostly cereals & brown rice porridge.  I started eating some fish yesterday.
I started straw drinking recently.  I'm learning how to stand without support and I'm testing out my feet & eye coordination by cruising alittle.
I love watching baby channel on starhub cabletv... Progammes like:

Pitch & Potch
EggBird
Various animated songs, Happy Birthday / Wonder Park...
I'm very good in U-Turning while crawling.  I can also stand up by climbing on my mummy's shoulders.  I can sit well on the bed or floor or chair.
I can be quite demanding at times.  When I want milk, nothing can stand in my way. Hahahaha

I've recently started on cloth diapers.  Nai-Nai bought Bumwear for me.  She bought the starter pack for Mummy to try.

So happy that xmas is coming... Daddy bought me a singing Teddy Bear because I kissed Daddy upon request.  But I'm still not able to articulate a proper "Daddy".  At most I'll say "Da-Da".  I'm still calling "Neh-Neh" more than "Ma-Ma"... I'm always amused when daddy call mummy "moo-moo". Hehe

Another Lazy Day @ Home - 24th November 2008

NaiNai wanted to take pictures using her hp... Resolution not so nice. So Mummy use the digital camera to take pictures for her to choose and send to her hp instead...

GrandParent's Walk @ Esplanade Park

We went to the grandparent's day walk from Esplanade Park to Singapore Flyer yesterday...
Other than the family company we enjoyed amongst each other, it was a rather terrible experience.

Not many families attended. More of lonely old folks. The organizers were more keen in enjoyment for the old folks rather than family enjoyment. All activities were aimed at old folks.

We reached there @ 8am as it was stated that the walk will start at 8am. But they started walking only after 9am.

And they split the whole group into 3 parts. First batch walk first, then about 10mins later - 2nd batch. Then 3rd batch after 10mins again.

Rather boring as we had to walk real slow and had to stop several times (to split the batches) though the whole journey was only 3 bus stop distance...

Perhaps the only people who had fun was my parents.. Haha.. Afterall, this IS the aim of the walk.
For all grandparents to enjoy...

Prudential Nite @ Robinsons

It's a closed door sales for Prudential Pru Prestige Customers...
Mummy used Daddy's invitation to bring Ryan to robinsons to see christmas bears and santa.
WaiPo also had the invite. So she brought God-Pa to see Ryan as well. Did very minimal shopping. More of photo taking whenever Ryan is awake.

It was so humid, Ryan was sweating buckets... So Mummy had an idea of letting Ryan have a dip in the cool water...

Metro Sale

While Daddy was in hospital due to persistent viral fever - CMV Virus, Mummy brought Ryan to metro for some window shopping during lunch time.

As Ryan hits the 9kg weight range, Mummy is quite desperate to get a stroller that Ryan likes soon.  Mummy tried Ryan on the mothercare JIVE.  Nah.. He super hates it.

Another Lazy Day @ Home

As usual, Monday is when my MIL is home helping me take care of Ryan... So i have my hands free to be camera-woman for awhile.

Preparation for The New Paper Big Walk

Lazing ard the bed in preparation for sunday's Big Walk...

Ryan was so uncooperative during the walk. Mummy ended up carrying him from nicoll highway all the way to marina barrage. Though Mummy tried to put Ryan on the stroller after he's fallen asleep on the ERGO carrier - failed attempt * 4

Though extremely tired, it was a rather fun experience... For Mummy, that is.

Brushing Own Gums

Ryan loves playing with his toothbrush.. He prefers it to any other fancy teether he has. So we let him brush his own gums so as to let him get into the habit of brushing early.

Cousin Alvin Wong's Wedding

My cousin held his wedding on 2 separate days...
Sunday morning - tea ceremony @ hillside condo

Monday night - chinese dinner @ Shangrila Hotel

As my cousin is a band goer, he serenaded his bride with 2 songs during the dinner.
His bride - Charmayne Yap, sang their marching in song...

So romantic! After cake-cutting ceremony, they proceeded to the dance floor to have a go. Too bad most guests were too keen on the food to notice their short dance stunt.

Sunday was very enjoyable. Cause Ryan was very cooperative. But as Monday's dinner was held at night, Ryan missed his bedtime, he became so cranky! End up it took me 1 over hour to pacify him to sleep... Made me so sian and upset too.

Day Out With Maternal Grandparents

Waipo & Waigong took leave today... We went Mount Faber for a breeze, Ikea for some ME shopping, habourfront coffeeshop for lunch with Jiu-Jiu...
After that, we went home for a short rest while Waigong went back to his home for his short nap.. haha
I vomited some milk out again! Hmm, Waipo told Mummy about the news about the 26-yr old lady who died 1mth after knocking her head against the glass door.
Mummy became paranoid.. Therefore, Mummy & Waipo brought me to the nearby clementi polyclinic to consult the doctor.

Conclusion was: I probably have some reflux problem... Referred me to KKH for review.
Daddy feels that 3rd december 08 is way too far. So we're still searching for an alternative date...

Weekend Out With Mummy & Daddy & Ryan

We went pressie shopping for Daddy... Since tuesday is his birthday..
Daddy was in a super good mood today... He allowed Mummy to take his pictures with Ryan though Daddy super hates photo-taking... Keke
Ryan loves to stand now.. Perhaps we can start to train him to walk with child harness... Since he only needs support around the body as he's rather wobbly now.

I bought this safety 1st bathtub for Ryan. Inflatable type... so he can sit there to play w/o water or use it during bathtime.
Toysrus selling it @ $15 during their bazaar sale. I bought it at united square toysrus. :)
He enjoys it alot... holding the edges while sitting.

Ryan is using his playpen to stand now.. He can tahan abt 5-10secs of standing with me holding his waist as support... He's supporting his whole weight by himself on his legs.
But he hates sitting down. Haha :)
