I found myself to be rather useless today.
I found a millipede crawling near my doorstep last night. I actually lost all guts to kill it. I used my floor rug to cover it instead. Then I did what was typical of me - I screamed!
When I decided to uncover the rug, the millipede was already gone. Where did it go? I was observing the rug all along. How did it disappear under my watchful eyes??
When Raymond came out of the room, I told him about the missing but very much alive millipede. He asked if it was a centipede or millipede. Then I froze. I did not actually have a very good look at it. I cannot confirm which is it.
Then began the big search... We sprayed insecticide, used torchlight, turned the place upside down. Yet, we found nothing. Now, it's the worrying period as Ryan is walking all over the place and picking everything he can find into his mouth. What if he touches "it"?
I am at a loss now. All I can do is to observe the next few days and make sure there is no bite marks on Ryan. I am damn regretful now.
*Source of millipede/centipede: The wilted pandan leave plant that my parents brought to my place. (The plant was very much alive when it arrived at my house) It began to wilt the next day at a very fast pace. I have no idea why too...
There was once a centipede crawl into my house also, worse still, my HB is not at home. I faster grab my ger, put her in her cot. by the time, i took out insectide to kill, it was no where to be seen.
ReplyDeleteThink week later, HB found the dead body of the centipede below my TV console.
I was wondering where it come from, as i do not have any plant outside my corridor.
i am worried abt bites. centipedes r poisonous. if it's juz a lizard it's fine if it runs away.
ReplyDeleteroaches i also very scared. cause they very reproductive.. hehs
ya, centipede is poisonous. till i found the centipede, i seldom let her be alone or sit on the floor. I try to look out, even myself dare not to sit on the floor.
ReplyDeleteI get my HB to buy those roaches/lizard trap, put in every corner of the house. 1st caught a few, but now no more, but i still lay the traps.
hum... unless its roaches where I will find all kinds of way to kill it. Any other things I will just find a way to pick them up and "shift" them out of the house (outside somewhere), if got time will bring it downstairs to the grasspatches...
ReplyDeleteconnie, u best leh.. i dare not pick up any foreign thing that moves... haha
